And a Happy New Year

I am of the opinion that a web journal should have a topic. However, I feel like that was just an excuse I used when someone would tell me to start one. (Full disclosure: I did, in fact, have an active livejournal back in the day. I don't really use it anymore.) For example, there are entire web journals devoted to Project Runway, Project Runway from a gay perspective , and Vegan Ice Cream.

This obviously doesn't have a topic. However, I do enjoy Project Runway and ice cream. Probably not vegan ice cream though. I feel like that's the sort of thing I'd try and then immediately think "this tastes vegan...yuck".

I thought about various topics. But in the end, this isn't going to have an overall topic. I'm trying to decide if that makes me really self-centered (All Kara! All the time! Isn't that interesting?!?!!) or if it makes me just another person who has a web journal.

That being said, I'm guessing that 90% of my entries will be about coupons, television shows or the latest and greatest trip to Lunds.

I've become what I make fun of

So, I hate the word "blog".

And hi.
